Today marks day two in the Daphne Wright murder trial.
Some of the most grisly pieces of evidence in the case will never be
seen again after the trial.
Yesterday States Attorney Dave Nelson asked the evidence photos of
the victim, Darlene Vandergiesen, be sealed.
Nelson said he didn’t worry that local media would publish the
pictures, but he wanted to make sure other outlets could never get
access to the pictures.
Other items introduced as evidence will be sealed until the trial is over.
After that, they will be part of the public record, and available to
be viewed by the general public.
