Marlee Matlin is HOTT! To bad she's not a lesbian in real life.....Ive seen her previous work and was excited to hear that she was going to be on the L Word. I think she is a very inspirational human being.

I've watched Marlee's acting career over the years, as she went from the female lead in Children of a Lesser God (for one) to her current role in The L Word....and she has grown confident as an accomplished deaf actress in today's Hollywood with all of its real or imagined issues in portraying the deaf/queer community.
The show is fun...playful and thought-provoking, that bring up a few genuine issues and some not so, that face everyone whether or not they can hear the world around them.
I think she has a remarkable & positive impact on all.

"Too often it is the community of LGBT teens that we see high rates of suicide because of society’s unwillingness to accept them for who they are."

I agree with MM about that. We need to protect and nuture those young generations to become future leaders of our Deaf Queer community/family.

Having a well-known deaf actress in a popular queer show is a good sign that Hollywood is seeing the needs of sharing the deaf queer issues. The L Word is excellent show because it show us the real issues facing us between hearing and deaf worlds. We can be a success!
