A Walgreen’s pharmacist testified that she knows Daphne Wright, and
she is positive the murder suspect bought trash bags the day
prosecutors say she dismembered Darlene VanderGiesen’s body.
Linda Nelson works at the store on Minnesota Ave. in Sioux Falls. She
says Wright, a regular customer, bought a package of 10 Hefty lawn
and leaf bags on Feb. 3.
Investigators say those bags match the ones wrapped around
VanderGiesen’s body parts found at the Sioux Falls landfill.
Prosecutors entered the receipts for the purchase, later found at
Wright’s home, as evidence.
